Your DNA test results are completed and emailed within 1-3 business days after all required DNA samples and the completed Result Notification Form have been received, accepted by the laboratory, and placed into processing.

In some cases, results may be completed even sooner.

Results are processed and emailed Monday through Friday only. Weekends and holidays are not included in the 1-3 business day result turnaround time.

How It Works

Step 1 · Order and receive the kit

Kit ships within 1 business day in plain FedEx packaging.

Step 2 · Collect cheek swabs

Each twin collects two cheek swabs by rubbing each swab against the inside of the cheek for 60 seconds. Works for newborns, children, teens, and adults.

Step 3 · Air-dry the swabs

Let swabs air-dry at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before packaging.

Step 4 · Package samples separately

Place each twin's dry swabs into their labeled envelope. Complete the notification form with each twin's identifier.

Step 5 · Ship samples to the lab

Put everything into the prepaid FedEx return envelope. Drop at any FedEx location.

Step 6 · Lab logs samples and confirms intake

Your specialist confirms intake.

Step 7 · Zygosity comparison

The lab runs the zygosity comparison at 24 markers plus Amelogenin with dual processing.

Step 8 · Report delivery

The full-color PDF report is emailed to the contact you specified within 1 to 3 business days of lab receipt.
