Court-Admissible Legal DNA Testing in Omaha, Nebraska

Start your legal DNA case correctly with appointment-based collection at My Forever DNA® in Omaha. The service includes verified identity, witnessed cheek-swab collection, tamper-evident handling, documented chain of custody, accredited laboratory testing, and local support.

  • Documented Legal Collection: Verified ID, witnessed collection, and chain-of-custody paperwork.
  • Private Omaha Appointments: Professional collection at 7004 Maple Street in a private setting.
  • Multiple Legal Test Options: Paternity, maternity, sibling, grandparent, avuncular, and twin zygosity testing.
  • Different Locations Available: Separate witnessed collections may be coordinated when participants cannot attend together.
  • Fast Laboratory Processing: Results typically take 1–3 business days after the complete case is accepted by the laboratory.
  • Personal Case Support: A DNA Specialist helps confirm requirements, coordinate collection, and guide result delivery.

Appointment required. Legal DNA testing is not a walk-in service because paperwork must be prepared before collection. Call 402-800-7161 or contact My Forever DNA® before visiting.

What Makes a DNA Test Legal?

A legal DNA test documents who provided each sample and how it was collected, sealed, transported, tested, and reported. Adults must present valid government-issued photo ID. A parent or legal guardian must attend for a minor and bring required case documents.

At-home tests are for personal knowledge because they do not include witnessed identity verification or legal chain of custody. Professional collection alone does not make a test legal unless the correct service and paperwork were arranged beforehand.

Legal DNA Testing Available in Omaha

  • Legal Paternity or Maternity: Parent-child documentation involving custody, support, birth records, adoption, inheritance, or other official needs.
  • Legal Sibling Testing: Full-sibling or half-sibling testing for inheritance, benefits, or documented cases.
  • Legal Grandparent or Avuncular Testing: Alternative relationship testing when a parent cannot participate, subject to authority requirements.
  • Legal Twin Zygosity Testing: Identical-or-fraternal determination when an officially documented result is requested.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Each participant is photographed, identification is verified, and consent and chain-of-custody forms are completed. A trained neutral collector obtains cheek swabs, seals them with tamper-evident materials, and documents shipment to the laboratory. Participants may attend together or complete separately coordinated collections.

Results and Turnaround Time

Results are typically available within 1–3 business days after every required sample, ID document, and form reaches the laboratory and is accepted. Missing paperwork, separate locations, or special reporting requirements may extend the timeline. Reports are delivered only to authorized recipients.

Immigration and Embassy DNA Testing

Immigration, visa, passport, and citizenship cases may follow different procedures. Do not begin with an at-home kit or standard appointment. Contact us first so the correct AABB-accredited laboratory process can be confirmed. For immigrant-visa cases, the laboratory generally coordinates collection and direct report delivery with the embassy or consulate.

Trusted Local Support Since 2015

My Forever DNA® is locally owned, woman-founded, and based in Omaha, Nebraska. Our local team provides private collection, clear guidance, and dependable support through the legal process. Review our laboratory accreditation information and privacy policy.

Start Your Legal DNA Testing Process

Confirm the exact requirements with the court, attorney, agency, embassy, or government office requesting the test. Then call 402-800-7161 to speak with an Omaha DNA Specialist.

Responsible Use: Acceptance requirements vary by authority and case type. My Forever DNA® provides DNA testing and collection support but does not provide legal, medical, or immigration advice. Testing does not guarantee acceptance, approval, benefits, or a particular legal outcome.

Turnaround for legal DNA testing

Results are typically completed within 1 to 3 business days after all required samples and paperwork are received and accepted at the lab. Because chain-of-custody paperwork has to be verified before samples enter processing, the turnaround starts on the day the case package is complete, not on the day of collection.

What can extend the timeline

  • Missing or incomplete identification documentation from any participant.
  • Paperwork that needs correction or re-execution.
  • Court, agency, or attorney requests that require additional documentation or specific delivery formats.
  • Multi-party cases where different participants have different collection appointments.

How It Works

Step 1 · Contact the Omaha office to schedule

Call 402-800-7161 or email sales@myforeverdna.com to start the case. Legal testing is not a walk-in service because chain-of-custody paperwork has to be prepared in advance for each participant.

Step 2 · Confirm case requirements

Before scheduling collection, we confirm the specific documentation your case needs. This includes what the court, agency, or attorney has requested, whether special forms or reporting formats are required, and who the final report should be delivered to.

Step 3 · Schedule the appointment

Every participant is scheduled for their own witnessed collection appointment. In most cases, all participants come in on the same day. Appointments can also be spread across multiple visits when needed.

Step 4 · Bring valid government-issued photo ID

Every adult participant must present valid photo ID at their collection appointment. For minors, a parent or legal guardian's ID is required, along with any documentation the specific case requires (birth certificate, custody paperwork).

Step 5 · Identity verification and paperwork

At the appointment, the collector photographs each participant, verifies photo ID, and completes the chain-of-custody paperwork. Each participant signs to confirm identity and consent.

Step 6 · Professional cheek swab collection

The collector obtains cheek swabs from each participant in the private collection room. The process is painless and takes about a minute per swab.

Step 7 · Sample sealing and lab dispatch

Samples are sealed with tamper-evident labels in the presence of the participants. The sealed package is documented and dispatched to the partnered US-based AABB-accredited and CAP-certified lab.

Step 8 · Lab testing and result delivery

The lab runs the relationship comparison for the test type ordered. Results are typically completed within 1 to 3 business days after the lab receives the complete case package. The final report includes chain-of-custody documentation and is delivered to the case owner and any additional recipients you designate.
