1-3 Business Day Results After All Required Samples Are Accepted

Your results are completed and emailed within 1-3 business days after all required samples and completed Result Notification Forms from both locations have been received, accepted by the laboratory, and placed into processing. In some cases, results may be completed even sooner.

Samples can arrive from the two locations on different days. Your sample-received confirmation is sent once all required samples and completed forms have been received, accepted, and placed into processing. Delivery of the first package does not mean the complete case is ready for testing.

Use the return FedEx tracking numbers provided in your shipping email to monitor delivery from each location.

Results are processed and emailed Monday through Friday only. Weekends and holidays are not included in the 1-3 business day result turnaround time.

2 Complete Twin Zygosity DNA Kits Shipped to Separate Addresses

The $209 base order includes testing for two siblings and two complete collection kits shipped to two separate U.S. addresses. Each kit is prepared for the participant or participants collecting at that location. If you select triplets or a larger set of multiples, confirm with our DNA Specialist which participants will use each kit; additional participants do not automatically receive additional kit shipments.

For added privacy, each kit is shipped 100% discreetly in a plain FedEx envelope, helping protect the confidential nature of your DNA test from the moment it is delivered.

This multiple-location DNA testing option is ideal when participants cannot collect their samples together but still need a private, accurate, and convenient way to complete DNA testing from home.

Each Kit Includes

• All Lab Fees Included: Your order includes collection kits, laboratory testing, sample processing, and result handling for the number of participants selected. Each additional sibling beyond the base two costs $100 when added to the order.
• Step-by-Step Instructions: Clear, easy-to-follow directions guide each participant through simple, painless cheek swab collection and proper return shipping.
• Result Notification Form: Helps ensure confidential DNA test results are sent directly and securely to the appropriate participant or authorized recipient.
• DNA Sample Envelopes With Unique Identification Numbers: Each DNA sample envelope is clearly labeled with a unique identification number to support proper participant matching, secure sample tracking, and accurate processing at our partnered AABB-accredited U.S. laboratory.
• FDA-Approved Cheek Swabs: Safe, non-invasive cheek swabs make DNA sample collection simple, painless, and suitable for participants of all ages.
• Prepaid FedEx Return Envelope: Each location receives prepaid, trackable return packaging for its participants' samples and completed Result Notification Form. Return shipping within the U.S. is included.

How the Multi-Location Twin Zygosity DNA Test Kit Works

Step 1 · Order and enter both addresses

Select the number of siblings from the same pregnancy who will be tested. Complete Shipping Location #1 and Shipping Location #2 with the recipient and delivery details for each U.S. street address before placing your order. If more than two siblings are participating, confirm their distribution across the two addresses with our DNA Specialist.

Step 2 · Both kits ship separately

Both kits ship within 1 business day. FedEx delivery in 1 to 2 business days for US addresses.

Step 3 · Collect samples at each location

Collect two cheek swabs from each participating sibling, rubbing each swab against the inside of the cheek for 60 seconds as directed in the kit instructions. Let the swabs air-dry at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Keep each participant's swabs separate, including when more than one sibling collects at the same address.

Step 4 · Return samples from each location

Place each participant's dry swabs in their own labeled DNA sample envelope and complete the Result Notification Form included with that location's kit. Return the labeled sample envelopes and completed paperwork using the included prepaid U.S. FedEx return packaging. The two locations can send their packages independently and do not need to ship on the same day.

Step 5 · All required samples are checked into the same case

The laboratory links the samples from both locations using the shared case identifier. Processing begins after all required participants' samples and completed Result Notification Forms have been received and accepted. FedEx delivery tracking shows when each package arrives; your DNA Specialist confirms when the complete case enters processing.

Step 6 · Zygosity comparison

The lab runs the comparison and determines whether the twins are monozygotic or dizygotic.

Step 7 · Report delivery

Your full-color PDF report is emailed within 1-3 business days after all required samples and completed Result Notification Forms from both locations are received, accepted by the laboratory, and placed into processing. Results can be sent directly to both twins when both are designated as authorized recipients on the completed forms. Shipping time, weekends, and holidays are separate from the laboratory turnaround.
