Standard cheek swab samples may be collected using clean household cotton swabs.

Approved alternative DNA samples or discreet DNA samples may also be submitted when needed. Each alternative or discreet DNA sample submitted in place of a standard cheek swab requires an additional $100 alternative sample fee per sample.

All DNA samples are processed through a trusted U.S.-based laboratory that is AABB-accredited and CAP-certified.

Complete your purchase securely. This digital home DNA collection option allows you to begin right away without waiting for a physical DNA test kit to arrive in the mail.

2. Receive Instructions by Email

After purchase, your step-by-step DNA collection instructions and required forms are delivered by email. You can print the forms or follow the instructions from your phone.

3. Collect DNA Samples Privately at Home

Collect your DNA samples using either standard cheek swabs or approved alternative DNA samples, such as a used toothbrush, hair, nail clippings, earwax swab, chewed gum, or disposable razor. Each participant’s sample should be placed in a separate paper envelope.

4. Ship Samples Directly to the Lab

Send your DNA samples and completed paperwork directly to the laboratory using your preferred tracked shipping method, such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, or another reliable courier. Customers are responsible for return shipping.

5. Lab Processing Begins

Once the laboratory receives all required samples and completed paperwork, your test is reviewed and processed by a trusted U.S.-based AABB-accredited and CAP-certified laboratory under strict confidentiality standards. Alternative samples may require viability testing before final DNA testing can be completed.
