All Lab Fees + Results Are Included

Your purchase includes paternity laboratory analysis for the participants selected and your confidential results. The $99 base order covers one alleged father and one child using cheek-swab samples; additional fathers or children cost $80 each. You are purchasing the laboratory service as well as the digital collection instructions.

What You Need to Provide

For the standard cheek-swab collection, gather the following supplies before you begin:

• Two clean cotton swabs per participant, following the collection instructions sent with your order.
• One clean paper envelope per participant to keep samples separate and labeled.
• A pen, tape, and scissors as directed in the instructions.
• The completed participant and Result Notification paperwork.
• An outer mailing envelope or suitable package for the samples and paperwork.
• Tracked postage to the laboratory, purchased from your chosen carrier.

For the base father-and-child order, this means four cotton swabs and two individual sample envelopes, plus the outer mailing envelope. If you include a maternal reference sample or additional participants, provide separate swabs and a labeled envelope for each person. Follow the emailed instructions for collection, drying, labeling, and packaging.

Important Digital Test Shipping Note

This is a digital DIY DNA test option, which means no physical kit or prepaid return shipping label is included.

You arrange and pay for tracked shipping using your preferred carrier. Send the samples and completed paperwork to the laboratory address supplied with your digital instructions, and retain your tracking details.

Standard or Alternative DNA Sample Options

Standard cheek swab samples may be collected using clean household cotton swabs.

Approved alternative DNA samples or discreet DNA samples may also be submitted when needed. Each alternative or discreet DNA sample submitted in place of a standard cheek swab requires an additional $100 alternative sample fee per sample.

All DNA samples are processed through a trusted U.S.-based laboratory that is AABB-accredited and CAP-certified.

The My Forever DNA® Digital DIY Home DNA Collection Option, also known as the Make Your Own Kit, is designed for customers who want to begin testing immediately - without waiting for a physical kit, creating a portal account, or having DNA-related packaging delivered to their home.

Digital delivery can help international customers avoid waiting for an outbound kit shipment from the U.S. You still need to arrange shipment of the collected samples to the U.S. laboratory. Before ordering from another country, contact My Forever DNA to confirm the collection and return arrangements for your location.

1. Order Online

Select the total number of alleged fathers and children to be tested, and indicate whether the child's known biological mother will provide an optional reference sample. The $99 base order covers one alleged father and one child using cheek swabs. If you need alternative samples or participants will send samples from different addresses, contact My Forever DNA before ordering to confirm the correct setup.

2. Receive Instructions by Email

Collection instructions and required forms are emailed after purchase. Read them before gathering supplies or collecting samples; digital delivery lets you begin preparation without waiting for a physical kit. If the email does not appear, check your spam or junk folder and contact My Forever DNA for help locating the instructions. Your samples still need laboratory analysis before results can be issued.

3. Collect DNA Samples Privately at Home

Follow the emailed cheek-swab instructions using two clean cotton swabs for each participant. Keep each person's samples separate, allow the swabs to dry as instructed, and place them in that person's labeled paper envelope. Complete the required participant and result-delivery information. Use alternative samples only after their collection requirements and additional processing have been arranged.

4. Ship Samples Directly to the Lab

Send your DNA samples and completed paperwork directly to the laboratory using your preferred tracked shipping method, such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, or another reliable courier. Customers are responsible for return shipping. Use the laboratory address in your emailed instructions and include all required paperwork with the samples.

5. Lab Processing Begins

Processing begins after all required samples and completed paperwork have been received and accepted by the laboratory. Your case is processed through our U.S.-based AABB-accredited and CAP-certified laboratory partner under strict confidentiality standards. Approved alternative samples require additional viability review and preparation before the paternity comparison can be completed.

6. Receive Private Results by Email

Your confidential DNA test results are delivered securely by email as a full-color PDF - with no online portal, no barcode activation, and no account setup required.
