Attempting to answer the question of paternity without testing the alleged father can be performed with accurate results in a high percentage of cases. This includes testing full or half siblings, a paternal grandparent, or a sibling of the alleged father (aunt/uncle. However, there is a possibility of obtaining inconclusive results. We cannot predict if your results will be inconclusive. An inconclusive result is the product of the statistical comparison and not the DNA test. We use the unique DNA profiles of the suspected relatives to calculate how likely they are to be related versus being unrelated. This statistical comparison is an attempt to approximate reality and is expressed in percent probability. In all cases, it is beneficial to include the mother since she donated half of the child's DNA. This will allow us to focus on the paternal DNA in the child and will decrease the likelihood of getting an inconclusive result.

When we do not have the father to test, we are relying solely on the statistics of a relative that did not contribute DNA at every marker like the father would. When attempting to answer the question of paternity without testing the alleged father by using a close relative, there is a possibility that the outcome might be a misclassification of the relationship. Again, it is beneficial to include the mother since she donated half of the child's DNA to limit the possibility of this happening.

Clearing the dought is worth it!!!

I recommend this for women who have boys...you just never know. Recently, it was bought to my attention that my son's relationship overlapped with another relationship his ex-girlfriend was involved in. Well, to clear the doubt, I went ahead and administered this DNA. This was money well spent!!! It was worth every penny. And yes, he is my grandson. I am so happy it turned out in my favor.

The nature of this product can create some distress in situations where sensitive information can cause much pain and suffering if not handled carefully and discretely. My experience with the company was positive. Customer service was good and the response time was as promised.I read a great deal about these tests on ethics, accuracy, and even the moral and legal aspects of this testing. Not to mention the freedom the government has to access these things with little effort. When you don't have anything to worry about then this seems like a great service when things are in doubt, or need clarification.Reading the reviews on this particular company showed them to be reliable and in the top three for this type of testing. My only anxiety comes from not seeing the inter-workings of this process. In this age of scams, I'm sure there are the unscrupulous out there who could really just take advantage of people and generate bogus info. This was a very easy test to do and if you follow all the directions correctly pretty quick results. The customer service was excellent. I mistakenly sent my test in without the not Result Notification Form and didn't realize it until almost 2 weeks later. When I was looking for the number to call to see what happened to my results, I found the paper with the packet. I called the number and left a message. They promptly called me back. I explained what happened. They were very understanding and said no problem. They emailed me a form to fill out and I sent it back. I did have a little trouble figuring out how to fill the form out and sending back. When they received my first attempt, they called and said they could fill it out with me over the phone. But I had already sent the form back the correct way. They could use that. 3 days later I got my results. It would have been extremely easy and quick, if I hadn't overlook the notification paper. Overall very pleased.
