2-3 Business Day Results After Both Participants’ Samples Are Received

Your results are completed and emailed within 2-3 business days after both participants’ DNA samples have been received, accepted by the laboratory, and placed into processing. In some cases, results may be completed even sooner.

Because this order includes separate DNA kit shipments, sample tracking works a little differently. You will not receive a sample-received confirmation until both participants’ completed DNA samples have been returned to the laboratory and placed into processing.

Please use the return FedEx tracking numbers included in your email to monitor when each participant’s DNA samples have been delivered back to the laboratory.

Each participant receives a complete, secure at-home DNA collection kit shipped directly to their separate address, making it easy to complete DNA testing from different cities, states, households, or locations.

For added privacy, each kit is shipped 100% discreetly in a plain FedEx envelope, helping protect the confidential nature of your DNA test from the moment it is delivered.

This multiple-location DNA testing option is ideal when participants cannot collect their samples together but still need a private, accurate, and convenient way to complete DNA testing from home.

Each Kit Includes

• All Lab Fees Included: Your purchase includes the DNA collection kits, laboratory testing, sample processing, and result handling. There are no surprise lab fees or hidden processing fees after purchase.
• Step-by-Step Instructions: Clear, easy-to-follow directions guide each participant through simple, painless cheek swab collection and proper return shipping.

How the Multiple-Location Home Grandparent DNA Test Kit Works

Step 1 · Order and enter both addresses

Complete your purchase and enter the grandparents' address and the grandchild's address. If you want to add the mother or test both grandparents, note that at checkout or contact us before shipping.

Step 2 · Both kits ship separately

Both kits ship within 1 business day, plain FedEx packaging. US delivery typically 1 to 2 business days.

Step 3 · Each participant collects at their address

Each participant collects two cheek swabs by rubbing each swab against the inside of the cheek for 60 seconds. Air-dry the swabs at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before packaging.

Step 4 · Each participant returns their kit

Each participant seals dry swabs and the completed notification form in the return envelope and ships to the lab.

Step 5 · Lab holds until both shipments arrive

Processing doesn't start until both packages are logged in against the shared case identifier.

Step 6 · Grandparent comparison

The lab runs the grandparent-grandchild comparison with dual processing. Results express the likelihood of the biological relationship.

Step 7 · Report delivery

Once testing is complete, the full-color PDF report can be emailed directly to both participants at their preferred email addresses. Your dedicated DNA specialist is also available to explain the likelihood ratio and answer any questions about the results.
