Your results are completed and emailed within 1-3 business days after both participants’ DNA samples have been received, accepted by the laboratory, and placed into processing. In some cases, results may be completed even sooner.

Because this order includes separate DNA kit shipments, sample tracking works a little differently. You will not receive a sample-received confirmation until both participants’ completed DNA samples have been returned to the laboratory and placed into processing.

Please use the return FedEx tracking numbers included in your email to monitor when each participant’s DNA samples have been delivered back to the laboratory.

This multiple-location DNA testing option is ideal when participants cannot collect their samples together but still need a private, accurate, and convenient way to complete DNA testing from home.

How the Multiple-Location Home Paternity DNA Test Kit Works

Step 1 · Order online and enter both shipping addresses

Complete your purchase and provide both shipping addresses. Each address receives its own kit. If either address is outside the US, contact us before completing the order so we can confirm shipping options for that country.

Step 2 · Kits ship separately to both addresses

Both kits ship within 1 business day. Delivery via FedEx typically takes 1 to 2 business days for US addresses. International shipping timing varies by country.

Step 3 · Each participant collects at their own home

The participant at each address opens their kit and follows the illustrated instructions. Two cheek swabs are collected by rubbing each swab against the inside of the cheek for 60 seconds. Air-dry the swabs at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before packaging. No plastic bags at any stage.

Step 4 · Each participant seals and ships their own samples

Each participant places their dry swabs in the labeled envelope, includes the completed notification form, and drops the prepaid FedEx return envelope at any FedEx location or arranges a pickup. Tracking is included on both return shipments.

Step 5 · Samples arrive at the lab on separate days

The two shipments may arrive at the lab on different days depending on when each participant returned their kit and which FedEx service level was used. The lab logs each shipment against the shared case identifier as it arrives.

Step 6 · Lab holds the case until both samples are logged in

Processing does not begin until both participants' samples have been received and accepted. Your dedicated DNA specialist confirms when both are in and processing starts.

Step 7 · Paternity comparison at 24 markers

Once both samples are in and viability is confirmed, the paternity comparison runs at 24 DNA genetic markers with dual processing. This step typically completes within 1 to 3 business days.

Step 8 · Report delivered by email

Once testing is complete, the full-color PDF results report can be emailed directly to both participants, not only the person who originally placed the order. Each participant may provide a preferred email address to receive their own copy of the report, ensuring that everyone involved has direct and equal access to the results. Your dedicated DNA specialist is also available to explain the findings, walk either participant through the report, and answer any questions about the results.
