The kit ships in a plain FedEx envelope with no My Forever DNA branding and no DNA-related language on the outside. The return envelope is equally plain. Someone signing for the delivery has no way to identify what's inside.

Alternate contact for results

If your primary email address is shared with the other participant, you can specify a separate results email or phone number when your case is set up. Your specialist confirms the alternate contact before releasing any information.

The charge on your statement reads "MFD"

Your credit card or bank statement shows "MFD" as the merchant, with no reference to DNA testing, paternity, or the full business name.

What we do not do with your DNA data

• No consumer DNA profile is built or stored.
• No upload to ancestry, genealogy, law enforcement, or research databases.
• DNA data is never sold, licensed, or shared.
• The physical sample is destroyed after testing per lab protocol.

What "secret" testing does not do

Secret DNA testing produces informational results only. The result cannot be used in court, in custody proceedings, in immigration cases, or for child support decisions. If a legal process is involved or possible, order a legal chain-of-custody test with witnessed collection instead. Attempting to enter an informational result into a court process will not succeed.

If the discreet sample doesn't yield enough DNA

Your specialist contacts you before any additional charge is applied. You can submit a fresh sample, switch to a different sample type, or discuss next steps. Each additional viability review carries an extra lab fee. Nothing is charged without your explicit approval.

What isn't included by default

How It Works

Step 1 · Kit arrives in plain packaging

Ships within 1 business day of ordering. Arrives via FedEx in 1 to 2 business days. Nothing on the outside identifies the contents.

Step 2 · Decide which discreet sample you can realistically obtain

Read the sample guide before collecting anything. The best sample is the one you can obtain discreetly and reliably. A well-used toothbrush is usually the highest-yield option. If you can only get access to hair from a hairbrush or nail clippings, those work too, provided the guidance is followed.

Step 3 · Collect the discreet sample

For a toothbrush, take one that's been used 20 or more times and let it air-dry completely before packaging. For hair, look for strands with roots visible at the base and place them in the paper envelope. For nail clippings, gather 5 to 10 pieces. Never store any sample in a plastic bag or Ziploc, and never store a wet sample.

Step 4 · Collect the cheek swab from the other participant

The other participant collects two cheek swabs by rubbing each swab against the inside of the cheek for 60 seconds. Store the swabs in the swab envelope at room temperature.

Step 5 · Ship samples back

Place the discreet sample envelope, cheek swab envelope, and notification form into the prepaid FedEx return envelope. Drop at any FedEx location or arrange a pickup.

Step 6 · Forensic viability review

The lab reviews the discreet sample first to confirm viable DNA can be extracted. This takes 1 to 3 business days. Your specialist contacts you if there's a concern.

Step 7 · Paternity comparison

Once a profile is built, the paternity comparison runs at 24 DNA genetic markers with dual processing.

Step 8 · Result delivery to your specified contact

Your specialist releases the full-color PDF report to the email or phone number you specified during case setup. Weekends and holidays are outside the turnaround window.
